SPAM and Electronic Commerce

Have you purchased any goods, services or information online? Have you agreed to receive offers and information via e-mal. If so, did you consider what permissions you gave that were attached to the transaction? SPAM has gone beyond mere nuisance to intolerable and tort.

Choose ERGOCUBE and any other online retailer below; visit the sites as a prospective buyer. Browse around and select an item to purchase--of course you will not actually submit your order unless you do want to buy an item. While "shopping around", look for any statements of "privacy" or "terms of use" affecting your transaction. Did you notice any statements that give permission to share your e-mail and personal information that could eventually become SPAM in your e-mail box? What level of protection for your e-mail did you find?
